A bronze is clearly not for everyone.
Those who own and display bronze sculptures are typically well educated
and affluent--and with good reason. Cost
is the most obvious factor. Many
people simply can’t afford it. Only
successful businesses, government agencies, and wealthy individuals can afford a
larger-than-life bronze. But the
smaller bronzes, the kind that are as much at home on a coffee table as they are
on a museum pedestal, are well within the budget of most established
professionals and many two income families.
And of course, large or small, a bronze is still a bronze.
They speak volumes; size merely dictates how boldly.
Although their likes, dislikes, and backgrounds vary,
people who own a bronze all seem to share a deeper appreciation for the kind of
enduring statement only a bronze can make.
And although they’re typically more educated, they are not necessarily
well versed in art history. But
then, you needn’t be in order to appreciate it.
Art appreciation is very subjective and as individual as each of us.
It’s a bit snooty to like a piece of art for no other reason than,
"It’s supposed to be good”. If
you like looking at it . . . if it makes you feel good . . . then it “is” good.
Ever since the earliest societies could consistently feed
and clothe themselves, they began creating and appreciating art.
Sculpture was one of the first art forms used.
Most modern societies have had museums and galleries where all levels of
society could come and experience great art by the masters of our times and
times passed. But only a handful of
the world's elite, the wealthiest and most powerful, could afford such rare
works of art.
Today there are many outstanding artists who have been
carving out their place in history with their own great works of art.
For whatever type of artistic leaning you might have, there's an artist
out there doing it. And for whatever interest you might have, there's probably an
artist out there creating art you'd enjoy and relate to.
If you can appreciate unwavering, lasting beauty, then
you’re likely to find a bronze that can add a little more pleasure, pride, or
prestige to your life. The right
bronze, prominently displayed, can speak volumes about you or your business.
So, is a bronze sculpture in your future?
Here are a few simple tips designed to help you make a decision you’ll
be please with.
-
Do
you like the subject of the sculpture?
Does the subject have relevance in your life?

Do
you like the way it looks and feels?
-
Is
there space in your home or business where you can display it?
In your mind’s eye, picture it there.
Now imagine how you’d feel seeing it there everyday (first thing in

your home, etc.)
-
